UNAwheel Maxi Online User Manual
Before using the power add-on please read this user manual thoroughly.
Installation guide
The following videos will help you to install the unit for the first time and choose the best attach / detach option of UNAwheel Maxi.
If you have any questions or doubts, please check the manual, send us a message or contact your nearest dealer.
Adapter Installation
Adapter fits folding or rigid wheelchairs.
Attach the clamps
  • Pick rubber spacers and place them on the front tubes of your wheelchair. Installation kit contains spacers for round tubes (tubes’ diameters: 19-20mm, 22 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 32 mm and 35 mm), oval tubes (Helium, Progeo) or square tubes (Kuschall 2.0);
  • Lightly tighten the clamps by screwing on its bolts. Clamps should not fall but you should still be able to slide them up and down the tube;
  • Rotate the part of the clamp with the handle until the clamp stays vertical. To rotate the handle effortlessly, loosen the screw that holds both parts of the clamp.
Assemble the adapter
  • Loosen the adapter’s screws so that you could slide and rotate the tubes of the adapter;
  • Insert the ends of the central adapter’s tubes into the wide open clamps’ brackets. Make sure brackets face strongly to the front;
  • Lock up the clamps to secure the adapter’s tubes. Rotate clamps’ handles to secure tubes tightly;
  • Lightly tighten the screws of the central adapter. It should not fall but you should still be able to rotate it.
Tightening the screws & the final touches
  • Position the central adapter so that the upper axle is placed right in front of the upper hook;
  • By adjusting the incline of the central adapter you can adjust the incline of the power assist and how far from the ground the front wheels are raised;
  • Make sure that both clamps are placed identically (same height from the ground and incline);
  • Tighten the screws of the central adapter and the clamps;
  • By sliding the stop rings you can adjust the position of the handlebar. The deeper you insert the adapter’s tubes into clamps’ brackets the closer to you the power assist gets. Make sure that both stop rings are placed identically (at the same distance from the ends of the adapter’s tubes).
